Presentation

Introducing Dream2Hope, a VR project that I had the pleasure of developing for HiCore Gaming Technologies. Dream2Hope is an application that showcases the potential of VR technology in creating immersive and engaging worlds for children, especially those in hospitals.

Over the course of 1 week, I worked tirelessly to bring this project to life by developing a proof of concept version. I'm excited to share the result with you. The final project will contain multiple worlds with unique challenges and mini-games that children can explore using VR technology.

Process

As the sole developer on the project, I had the task of integrating the assets provided by the client and bringing their vision to life. I prioritized the client's wishes, ensuring that we remained within the timeline and budget agreed upon. This involved creating a small game design document with two versions. We chose a version with the client, that I then refined into smaller tasks using Trello.

Throughout the development process, I kept the client informed through regular videos, ensuring that we remained on track and the client was satisfied with the progress. Testing was done regularly to ensure stability, and the final delivery was made through AppLab for the Oculus Quest, resulting in a flawless delivery.

Result

The client was extremely satisfied with my work, and the project was completed within the given timeline, which was a feat that none of the freelancers the client had contacted previously thought was feasible.

Dream2Hope has already been tested by 20 children at a fair, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with children having a lot of fun exploring the world. I'm excited about the potential of this project and look forward to seeing how it can positively impact the lives of children through VR technology.
